E2E Virtualization Conference

Last weekend I travelled to Dublin to attend a Virtualization Conference, a conference that ran Friday to Sunday covering virtualization products, best practices, tips and tricks, architecture for Citrix, Microsoft, VMWare and other vendors.  Set in a relaxed community environment the event was so good I didn’t really want to blog about it. I wanted to selfishly keep it to myself Smile.

But… that would not be fair so I will tell you that the atmosphere was a unique highlight in itself.  To  discover it you would simply need to be there and be the sort of person that enjoys networking and talking about one or more flavours of virtualization or server based computing.

The Expert 2 Expert Virtualization Conference is a group of experts willing to present and share their knowledge through presentation and into the hallways and beyond.

A professionally organised yet fun and community networking event in which I got to meet quite a few attendees and presenters, including some well known experts, authors and user group leaders from many countries.

Along with great networking I’ve updated myself on a variety of products including discovering more than few companies I was not so familiar with their products, such as RES, AppSense, Sepago and SMS Passcode.

One particular achievement for me is that I presented, my session was on RemoteFX. I don’t present much and to be honest can count my presentations on my hands. Certainly the first time with experts and outside of Jersey. Albeit nervous I loved it, talking about Hyper-V and anything to do with the Virtualization is becoming a pleasure and I’ll be doing it again soon.

I have had some great feedback from more than one person in my session so I will be back and presenting at E2E in November in London. I look forward to enjoying coffee with some new virtualization friends.

To my friends and colleagues in Jersey I must say thanks for the encouragement.

    Hi Ronnie

Only saw the second half of your presentation (due to a scheduling clash) and it was one of the best at the conference with loads of real life demos which is what we love. Looking forward to catching the first half when the session videos are released. Keep it up!
